Good Faith estimate notice

Under the “No Surprises Act” that became law as of January 1st, 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Providers are directed to give patients who don’t have insurance, or do not want to use their insurance for services, an estimated expectation of the charges for services that will be rendered. In plain english, we give you a good idea of how much everything is going to cost you before you start treatment.

You can ask your health care provider for a “Good Faith Estimate” before you schedule an appointment. Furthermore, if you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your estimate for reference. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059
